“I’m sorry.”

Claire turned around, her blonde hair lightly hitting her cheek and falling out of her bun and over her shoulder.

“I didn’t think I could trust you. I thought they had gotten to you and convinced you to turn your back on me.”

She scoffed and rolled her eyes. “How ignorant and naïve do you think me to be? Is this supposed to be an apology because if that’s the case, it could use a little less ego and a bit more groveling.”

The guy sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “I’m sorry.”

“And?” she arched an eyebrow and crossed her arms.

“I was wrong, and you were right.”

Claire grinned. “Well if you insist.” She leaned forward and grabbed his hand. “Now come on, we have a murderer to find.”

“AND CUT!!”

It had been over four months since Claire’s coffee date with Conner and life changed very quickly for the blonde. After getting a formal offer from Conner’s team, Claire prepared herself for the rigorous fight with her parents about joining the show. Shockingly, they were fine with it as long as she didn’t miss any school and put half of what she got paid aside for college. As soon as the contract was signed, and it was publicly announced that she would be on the show, Claire was overwhelmed with attention. At school girls were begging for info and were practically (and some were literally) throwing their number at her to pass to Conner. The guys weren’t any better either. Once word got around the Claire was single for the first time since middle school, guys were practically forming a liner at her locker to talk to her. The PC even forced her on a few dates, but Claire was determined to stay away from anything serious. Life was complicated enough and the last thing she needed was a guy.

Life outside of school was picking up to. She started getting calls from magazines, Hollywood execs, fashion lines, and agents before she even picked up a script. It then hit her that if she actually wanted to do this, Claire could and that idea both thrilled her and terrified her. Her social media was blowing up and she ended up making her own Twitter account to help promote the show, @clairebearlions. Massie rolled her eyes when she helped Claire set her account up, muttering under her breath something along the lines of “if I knew all it took was an acting gig…” but Claire ignored her.

Claire moved to New York City a week after school ended in May. She was staying with another actress on the show, a girl two years older than her named Naomi Winter who had been acting since she was five. According to Alicia, who social media stalked the girl, she auditioned for Dial L but obviously didn’t get the part. So far Claire didn’t think she was holding a grudge because she seemed nice enough, but Claire didn’t want to push it. If she was like Massie she’d lay low in the weeds for a while before coming after her and the thought kept Claire up at night. She missed her friends and family, and while they had visited a few times it hadn’t been enough.

However, the show, called Holmes, kept Claire busy enough. Claire played a girl named Irene Adler who met Conner’s character Sherlock at a camp and had just moved to New York City. She also just so happened to be Sherlock’s love interest, which meant Claire was partially getting paid to flirt and make out with Conner Folley. She wasn’t complaining.

Back to the set, Claire stepped away from the lights and camera to the side, took a swig out of her bottled water that was next to her Prada bag (a gift from Massie), and sat down in a nearby chair. The director, a woman named Renee Ziggs, came over.

“Alright take a 15 minute break then we are going to do the scene again but from different angles. Got it? Great!” she clapped her hands together and walked away before Claire could even respond.

She sighed and pulled her phone out. She had a couple of texts from Layne, one from her mom, and over 20 messages from the PC. She opened up the PC group chat, recently named “The Bitchy Committee” by Dylan after some 8th grader called her a bitch at the mall.

Kris: my family is driving me crazy

Dyl: hey that’s my line!!

Mass: what are they doing now

Kris: my mom and dad won’t stop arguing and my 9 year old cousin just got a phone and keeps sending me outdated memes

Leesh: how outdated?

Kris: troll face

Mass: ewww

Leesh: anyway

Leesh: did you hear about cam?

Mass: leesh….

Leesh: what??

Leesh: kuhlaire won’t see this till later besides she’ll probably know by then

Leesh: josh texted me. cams at st peters

Kris: WHAT

Dyl: the hospital???

Mass: ehmagawd

Leesh: yeah josh won’t give me the details but apparently he got in a motorcycle accident

Leesh: he’s fine just cuts and bruises

Leesh: apparently going was part of his punishment. his mom freaked

Mass: how did that happen?

Claire was wondering the exact same thing. Cam biked to school on a bicycle. He wore a helmet. How did he end up in a motorcycle accident?

Leesh: skye hamilton is a shit driver

Claire froze. Cam was with Skye Hamilton, the DSL Daters alpha. The rising senior queen. While Claire was avoiding serious relationships, Cam was throwing himself all in with Skye.

“Hey, Claire, it’s time to shoot,” Conner called to her and when she turned around he flashed her a flirty grin. Claire smiled back and waved.

If that’s how Cam wanted to play the game then fine, Claire thought as she made her way over to Conner. But I’m playing to win.

PREVIOUSLY

Cam spent the past week acting weird and awkward around her, to the point where she was pretty sure he was avoiding her.

Cam was in the video for sure, but he was out somewhere with a girl. A girl that Claire didn’t recognize. A girl who looked their age with an outfit so short it made the Pretty Committee look like Nuns.

She bumped into someone as she was rounding the corner.

“Sosorryhavetousethebathroom,” she managed to get out and she started to get away, but the person grabbed her arm. Expecting the worst, she turned around, ready to tell this person off when suddenly she froze.

“Claire Lyons?” the guy asked with a chuckle. “It’s good to see you again.”

//////

If Claire had to write a list of all the people she never thought she’d see again, he’d probably be in the top 5. Partly because she didn’t particularly want to see him again, partly because she was pretty sure he didn’t want to see her again, and mainly because she was pretty sure he was in jail or at the very least stuck in California doing community service.

“Conner?” Claire squeaked out, her mouth agape. “Conner Foley?”

The dark-haired beau stepped back, letting go of her arm, and grinned. “Good to see you again, Lyons.”

Claire was shocked. She hadn’t spoken to Conner since Dial L finished filming; she didn’t even follow him on Twitter but it not like she needed to. She had heard all about what had happened to him in the years since.

About a year after Dial L, Conner ended up in a major car accident and pretty badly injured. He was found driving under the influence of alcohol and charged with a DUI. There were rumors that the prosecution was trying to get him jail time as to make an example of him, but Claire was pretty sure he was just going to have to pay some fine and do some community service. Since the accident Conner disappeared from the radar with his most recent project a stint on some tween drama series filmed days before the accident.

All of that combined with the fact that he was in New York City which was very far away from California (roughly 2,700 miles – Claire looked it up when she was debating whether or not to she should become a movie star), left Claire stammering out a response.

“Uh, yeah, it’s good to see you again too.” She chuckled and nervously ran a hand through her hair. “So, um, what brings you to the city? How’s life?”

He stuck his hands in his back pocket and leaded against a nearby wall. “I’m in town working on a new project, and life’s been okay.” He got quiet and continued. “Much better than it used to be. Hey, I’m really sorry for everything that happened. I was an ass.”

Everything that had happened? Oh yeah, the whole leading Massie and Alicia on, and not having any intention of staying connected after the shooting, yeah that.

“It’s okay, I understand.” Claire really did. There was so much drama going on during her time in LA that everyone had a role of some kind, even she did. “Well I’m sorry about the Harry Potter underwear.”

He frowned. “Wait what?”

“Yeah, Massie and Alicia stole your pants and put a pair of Harry Potter boxers in them and sent it off to some tabloid. Do you not remember?”

He chuckled. “It sounds familiar but to be honest I was probably drunk when it happened. I’m better now,” he quickly added.

“That’s good. So what project are you working on?” Claire was genuinely curious, it had been a while since he was on the big screen or really any screen.

“Oh, it’s great. The short of it is Gossip Girl meets Sherlock Holmes.”

“Sounds like Riverdale.”

Conner got dead serious. “It’s better than Riverdale.”

Claire laughed. “Well it sounds amazing.”

He nodded. “It is. I actually have to go meet someone but let me get your number and I’ll call you and we can catch up.” He pulled his phone out his back pocket and started to hand it to her before suddenly stopping. “I mean if that’s okay with you.”

She grinned. “It’s fine by me.” He handed her the phone and she started typing in her info. As she handed it back to him, she said, “I want to hear all about it.”

“You will I promise. I’ll text you tomorrow.” He turned to leave, but then stopped and turned back to her. “It was really good to see you again, Claire.” And with that he was gone.

Claire found her cheeks unexpectedly flushed, but not in the humiliated way they had been when she saw Cam’s snapchat story. In the blush from a new crush.

She tried to shake it off and started back towards the PC, completely forgetting about her original intention to head to the bathroom. By now the girls had seen her talking to someone and were immensely curious. Claire didn’t even get a chance to sit down before they were bombarding her with questions.

“Who was that?”

“Did you give him your number?”

“He was really hot!!”

“Something about him looked familiar,” Kristen, even the clever, noted.

“Well he would because that was Conner Foley.” Claire announced, finally sitting down.

The table was silent for a moment, processing that information in, before suddenly erupting.

“CONNER FROM DIAL L???!!!” Kristen gasped, dramatically clutching her chest.

“Oh no not him he was the worst!!” Alicia scoffed.

“He looks really good,” Massie noted before squinting her nose in disgust, likely from remembering what had happened between her, Alicia, and him.

“Oh yeah, I remember Alice and Moosie,” Dylan teased. “You guys were the sexy middle school dropouts in US Weekly.”

“That was terrible.”

“Yeah didn’t some guy get a photo of one of you with a wedgy?” Kristen grinned, pleased that some embarrassing stories were coming up.

“That was Alicia” and “That was Massie” were declared simultaneously.

Dylan laughed. “It’s crazy that he’s here. Honestly I thought he was dead.”

“Why did you think that?” Massie questioned, deliberately shifting focus from ‘Moosie and Alice’.

“Cause that accident he was in was really bad. I bet his body has a bunch of messed up scars. It’s probably super hot.” Dylan’s eyes glazed over as she began to imagine certain images.

“Get your mind out of the gutter, Dyl. He’s actually in town working on a new project. I gave him my number,” Claire paused to take in the girls ‘ohhs’ and squeals before continuing to speak. “and he’s gonna text me and tell me all about it.”

“That’s amazing. I honestly never thought I’d see him again.” Massie admitted.

“I always knew I’d see him again,” Alicia proclaimed, “but I thought it’d be when I’m interviewing celebs at the Met Gala in a tasteful gown and he’s getting thrown out by security or worst, showing up in an outfit that doesn’t fit the theme.”

Claire laughed. “That’s very specific but nope it’s here tonight. Well actually not tonight, he actually left to go off to meet with someone.”

“I still can’t believe he was here,” Kristen sighed. “I still can’t believe I never got to meet him. I want an introduction.”

“I still can’t believe Dylan’s thunder-from-downunder caused the whole Dial L disaster!!” Alicia laughed as Dylan tried to swat her.

“Hey, don’t diss that disaster, you did end up on TV and in LA,” Dylan pointed out, arching a brow.

“Remember when Todd stowawayed in the car and ended up in the green room with Abby and Hadley?” Massie chuckled while Claire reminisced.

The girls soon began swapping memories and spent the rest of the evening laughing and enjoying their time with each other. They tried to hit up this club one of Dylan’s sisters had told them about, but they were a lot stricter with IDs and less willing to be paid off. By this point it was 11 and they were all cranky, so they caught a cab and headed back to their hotel.

As Dylan swore at her sister in the cab, Claire felt her phone buzz and she pulled it out.

1 new message

Unknown number: hey it’s conner. what’s up?

Claire felt her cheeks turn pink and she was about to send a reply when her phone buzzed again

Cam: hey hope you’re having fun.

Cam: i wanted to let you know I can’t hang out this week. Calc test on Thursday

Claire frowned. Why would he text her that on a Saturday night?

She turned to Kristen. “Hey when’s your next test in calc?”
“Not for another two weeks, why?”

Claire let out a bitter chuckle. “Cause my boyfriends a piece of garbage.”

She was about to give him a piece of her mind when her phone buzzed.

Conner: are you still going to be in the city tomorrow? do you want to grab coffee?

Claire smirked. Who needed Cam?

Claire: yup and I would love to.

Conner: great! Does 10 sound good? There’s this great place in midtown.

Claire: sounds good to me. Text me the address.

Conner: will do

Claire: great! It’s a date!

I have no idea if I’m back or not, but I was rereading the Clique earlier and wanted to continue with this plot. Let me know what you think!!

Unraveling the Knot

Manhattan
New York City, NY
Friday, February 23
6:40 PM

Claire Lyons was uncomfortable. Hot and beautiful, but uncomfortable.

Massie had decided to kick off their New York trip with dinner at this high-end restaurant, and insisted that Claire skip her long, warm, floral dress and styled her in an Alice + Olivia silk-chiffon and silk-blend mini dress. Claire wore a pair of toffee suede booties that were slightly too big on her that she bought from a Goodwill a year earlier. While her family had more money than originally, she was still considered “poor” in Westchester standards and struggled to keep up with the current, expensive styles. Having wealthy friends certainly helped, but Claire was pretty sure if they bought her one more expensive item she’d be put down as a tax-deductible charity on their tax forms.

Of course, there were times where she let the charity feeling pass and this trip to New York City was one of those times. She needed this trip desperately. Cam spent the past week acting weird and awkward around her, to the point where she was pretty sure he was avoiding her. When she told the girls and Layne about this, they both concluded that he had to be hiding something. Layne suggested he was hiding some big surprise for their anniversary. Alicia suggested he was cheating on her. Claire desperately hoped it was the former.

“Are you thinking about Cam?” Massie interrupted her thoughts of doubt with a stern voice. “I knew it. Stop that!! He’s just some guy, come awn!!”

“Yeah, he’s just some guy,” Alicia echoed, looking at something on her phone. Massie nudged her, and she put the phone down with a roll of her eyes. “Besides you’re with us.”

“Yeah we’re gonna have fun!!” Kristen chimed in. “We’re gonna have good food, ya know whenever the waiter comes back…”

Dylan rolled her eyes. “Ignore them Claire, I know what will cheer you up.” She plucked the cherry out of the Shirley Temple she’d been drinking. “I’m gonna tie this cherry stem into a knot.”

“You’re going to do what?” Massie arched a brow.

“What the hell Dyl?” Claire stared at her friend who dramatically held the cherry stem in-between her fingers.

“I’m going to tie it into a knot in my mouth. I heard if you can do it then its proof you’re a good kisser.”

“Why do that when you could just ask Kemp,” Massie smirked.

“Or Derrick.” Kristen added.

“Or Chris.” Alicia chimed in.

“Oh just shut up,” Dylan rolled her eyes and Claire giggled. “I got this.” Dylan made a dramatic scene of herself placing the cherry stem on her tongue and slowly closing her mouth.

“This looks like the start to a bad porno,” Massie commented, and Claire continued to giggle. As dumb as this was, Claire could sense herself feeling better.

She laughed at Dylan who struggled with the cherry stem and pulled her phone out of her purse. Pulling up Snapchat, she started to record a video of her friend. Dylan finally gave up after another minute, playfully demanding that Claire send her the video, which led to Massie snatching her phone.

“What are you doing?” Claire tried to grab her phone back, but Massie clung to it.

“Dyl say hello to Kuh-laire’s story,” Massie laughed as she added the video to Claire’s Snapchat story.

“No!!” Dylan joined in on trying to grab the phone while Kristen cackled at the scene in front of her and Alicia prayed no one noticed her friends practically on top of each other in such a nice place.

“It’s done and done,” Massie announced, but she continued to mess with Claire’s phone. “Oh!! Cam put something on his story. Five bucks says he’s inside playing video-games with Derrick and Josh.”

Claire watched as Massie opened up the video, but instead of trying to cash in on her bet she got really quiet.

“What is it?” Claire asked, learning over to look. When she caught a glimpse of the video her heart almost stopped.

Cam was in the video for sure, but he was out somewhere with a girl. A girl that Claire didn’t recognize. A girl who looked their age with an outfit so short it made the Pretty Committee look like Nuns.

By this point the other girls had pulled out their phones and checked his story. The table suddenly filled with attempts to console Claire.

“I’m sure that’s just a friend or a family member.”

“Yeah she’s probably a cousin or something.”

“I always knew you could do better.” Alicia added in, earning a glare from Massie and a slap from Kristen. “What? Look we are in New York City. There a plenty of desperate fish in the sea and, I’m only going to say this once Claire, you look hot as hell tonight. If he’s too dumb to notice, then that’s his loss not yours.”

Claire nodded. “Oddly, that kind of helped. But who knows, I mean, it could be nothing.”

Or it could be something big. Something big like the only guy she’s ever really dated cheating on her after being in a relationship for almost four years. Their relationship was longer than some people’s marriage. Their relationship was a preschooler. A preschooler he was throwing away for some girl in a crop-top.

Claire could feel the room closing in on her, and no matter all the kind things her friends said she couldn’t help but panic. Even if he wasn’t cheating on her, they weren’t the same as they used to be. Sure, everyone grew and changed, but they were supposed to grow and change together.

“I’m gonna….I’m gonna go to the ladies room,” Claire stammered out as she awkwardly got out of her chair.

“Claire….” Massie started but Claire shook her head.

“I’m fine. I really am. I just need a minute.”

She scurried away from the girls, her cheeks a fiery red. Desperate to get away from the public eye, she quickly moved through the restaurant. A little too quickly, as she bumped into someone as she was rounding the corner.

“Sosorryhavetousethebathroom,” she managed to get out and she started to get away, but the person grabbed her arm. Expecting the worst, she turned around, ready to tell this person off when suddenly she froze, realizing this wasn’t the first time she’d seen this face.

“Claire Lyons?” the guy asked with a chuckle. “It’s good to see you again.”

Dun dun dunnnn!! I wonder who that guy could be? Well you’ll just have to wait until next time. I hope you liked this post and feel free to comment your guesses as to who the mystery guy is. If you’re right you’ll get a special shout out in my next posts!! Also if you want to check out Claire’s outfit, look under the “Claire’s Closet” page and it’ll be there.

Until then, thanks for reading!!

Fishing for Answers

The Fisher’s Living Room
Westchester, NY
Friday, September 8
5:55 PM

Claire Lyons could help but laugh at how badly she was losing at her boyfriend’s video game (she wasn’t sure which one, all the shooting games blended together to her).

Her boyfriend, Cam Fisher, rolled his eyes and chuckled at her. “How are you doing so badly? All you have to do is point and shoot.”

She shrugged. “I don’t know, I guess pointing and clicking isn’t my thing.” She paused for a moment and, in all seriousness, said, “You know this is actually a really hard game.”

At that Cam busted out laughing. “This is the easiest one!! I lent it to Derrick and he won the boss level after he got his wisdom teeth taken out!!”

At the mention of Derrick, Claire tensed up. Sometimes she forgot he and Derrick were friend. “Oh wow.”

Cam playfully nudged her. “Remember that? He was completely looney!!”

Claire nodded and said quietly, “Yeah, I think I remember.”

Cam frowned, sensing a change in Claire’s tone. “You alright?”

She shrugged. “Yeah. Well, kinda.” She let out a sigh. On one hand she didn’t want to cause any issues between Cam and Derrick, but on the other hand she didn’t want to lie to him. “Derrick cheated on Massie.”

Cam’s jaw dropped. “What?? When? With who?”

Claire sat up and leaned against the arm of the Fisher’s couch. “Last Friday night at some party. Massie said it was with Alicia but Alicia said –and this is really weird, I know – it was actually Olivia who Derrick was with, not her.”

Cam gave her an odd look. “Olivia Ryan? How would Massie confuse her with Alicia? They look nothing alike. And didn’t Olivia move away a couple of years ago?”

Claire nodded. “Apparently Olivia was dressed like Alicia, wig and all. It’s really weird. Like, Alicia said she was framed by her cell going off and Massie thinking it was her.”

Cam leaned back. “That is really weird. Man, I can’t believe it. Derrick didn’t say anything to me or the other guys.”

“I guess he figured you’d hear it from me or he didn’t want to start anything, I don’t know.” Claire said with another shrug. “It’s all pretty crazy. Massie is so pissed at Alicia, I don’t really blame her. She kicked her out of the PC and, to be honest, I’m surprised she hasn’t done something like cut her hair off or pay some hit men to send her to Spain.”

Cam arched a brow. “Wow you went from hair cutting to hit men really fast.”

Claire let out a small laugh. “Well that’s Massie for you. She’s really hurt and mad. She’s hiding it well though, if I didn’t know I’d say everything was all good.”

“Hey I didn’t know and I thought everything was a-okay. She’s a good actress.” Cam noted.

“Yeah. It’s going to be weird tonight because she’s still having her Friday Night Sleepover, only without Alicia. It’s been years since that last happened.”

Cam nodded. “Yeah. Wait, isn’t that at 6?” he asked, glancing at the clock on his phone.

Claire shook her head. “Not tonight. She changed it to 7 so I still have some time.”

“That’s good or else you’d be running late and I can’t imagine Massie Block responding well to that.”

Claire chuckled. “Yeah she wouldn’t be thrilled. In fact, she once said-”

“Wait did you say last Friday night,” Cam suddenly interrupted her with wide eyes.

“Uh, yeah. That’s when Derrick cheated on Massie.” This time Claire was the one to frown. “Why?”

Cam sat up and pulled out his phone. “Do you know what time ‘cause Derrick texted me to call her at 7:15 that night because she was apparently getting him some tickets for Jay Z at 7 and his phone was broken and, honestly I don’t know but he told me to call her at 7:15 and she didn’t answer.”

“I don’t know but,” Claire hesitated. “I could ask her.”

“I think you should,” he said while scrolling through his phone. “I found it! I called her at 7:16 that Friday night.”

“Huh, that’s weird.” Claire said as she pulled out her phone. “I wonder if Derrick was trying to set you up to frame her or…I swear this sounds like something out of Gossip Girl or an Abby Boyd movie.”

He arched a brow and smirked. “What like Dial L for Loser?”

Claire rolled her eyes and she called Alicia. “That’s a little different but- Oh, Leesh. Hey!”

Cam moved forward to listen to Claire’s conversation. Claire put her phone on speaker and began to talk. “Leesh what time did you receive that call you were telling me about? The one that caused Mass to walk in on Derrick and Olivia?”

“Uh,” Alicia’s said, her voice slightly muffled. “Around 7, I think. Let me check. Why?”

“Cause Cam thinks it may have been him and that Derrick could have set him up to frame you, on accident of course,” Claire added, aware of how insane all of it sounded.

“That makes sense except I didn’t recognize the number so- “

“I just changed it a couple of weeks ago,” Cam chimed in.

“Kuh-laire am I on speaker?” Claire could feel Alicia’s glare through the phone.

“Yeah, but Cam is helping so therefore he’s listening,” Claire explained, asserting herself,  and peered at Cam who rolled his eyes.

Alicia sighed. “Fine. Well the call came in at 7:16. Helpful?”

Claire’s jaw dropped. Was Alicia’s crazy story true? “Ehmagawd! That’s when Cam called you!!”

“Fisher you framed me!” Alicia snapped at, then giggled. “I can’t believe this. I told you I was framed and you didn’t believe me! Bitch!”

Claire rolled her eyes. “Okay well now I believe you. Happy?”

“Very,” Alicia said and Claire knew she was smirking. “Now all we have to do is tell Massie.”

Claire groaned. “That’s going to be the hardest part.” She paused then pulled her phone down to her face before cursing. “Crap, I have to go!”

“Friday Night Sleepover?” Alicia asked, a hint of jealousy and sadness in her voice.

“Yeah,” Claire said, grabbing her purse while Cam passed Claire her Keds.

“You should tell her then.” Alicia suggested.

Claire shook her head and set her phone on the couch as she slipped her shoes on. “No way. I’ll tell her tomorrow. I have to think of what to say.”

Alicia sighed. “Fine. I’ll hold you to that, you know?”

Claire stood up and slipped her purse over her shoulder. “I know you will. Gotta go. Bye.” Claire said, hanging up before Alicia could reply.

With a sigh, she slipped her phone in her purse and turned to Cam. “Thank you.”

He shrugged. “Just doing my boyfriend duties, no big deal.”

Claire smiled. “I know. Thank you.” She leaned forward and gave him a peck on the lips. “I really have to go!”

Cam followed her upstairs. “Are we still on for seeing the new Marvel movie Sunday?”

Claire nodded and stepped out the door. “Assuming I’m still alive by then. Love ya!”

And as Claire hurried down the walk, she heard Cam’s faint, unmistakable voice answer back: “Love you too.”

I’m finishing up my current plot and if you’re confused it’s okay. My whole idea for the plot started small, but ended up kinda crazy. So in summary: Massie thinks Alicia slept with Derrick, but Alicia says she was framed by Olivia and Derrick for some unknown reason. Kristen and Claire were able to prove that Alicia wasn’t completely lying (see last post), and now Claire and Cam just figured out that Cam was the one who was set up to call Alicia, unintentionally setting her up to be framed by Massie. Crazy, I know.

Anyway, thank you guys for reading, and if you are interested in joining my PC (we’re looking for a Dylan and Alicia) check out my PC page and visit Massie’s blog for the application!!
